Équité, is invested in diminishing crime in Canada, and protecting all Canadians against exploitation.About the RoleWe use a wide range of data and intelligence to achieve four objectives: Help insurers identify fraud through integrated advanced analytics and investigations; Enhance and enable cross-insurer investigations coordinated by Équité; Lead stakeholder in vehicle and hard-asset recover & identification services; andSupport law enforcement, regulators, professional colleges and other public investigative agencies to identify criminals and bring them to justice. We will also endeavour to raise public awareness about consumer scams: how they work and how to detect and prevent them. The Cloud DevOps Engineer, reports to the Director, Head of Technology Solutions and requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Cloud DevOps Engineer role is primarily responsible implementing and maintaining the platform application. Working with the Director, Head of Technology Solutions and the platform engineering team, the role will ensure best practices in creating and maintaining a secure infrastructure architecture and related standards to ensure the foundation which reflects the infrastructure needs and concerns of the members.The position offers a motivated, astute person the opportunity to have an indelible impact on the organization's evolution—an organization focused on creating a vibrant, accessible culture that welcomes open discourse, supports the members, and balances technology, process and people. Specific accountabilities include:Provide ITIL activities including change review, incident review and problem managementUse monitoring tools and system analytics to quickly diagnose the root cause analysisHands-on experience with Networking and Security Concepts. Conduct risk assessment checks on systems, firewalls and update security procedures Configuring end user and administration access that adhere to Équité access control guidelinesProviding best practices for implementing and maintaining cost-efficient scalable cloud environment, as requiredQualifications 3+ years of prior DevOps and SDLC work experience A university degree in the field of Information TechnologyAn understanding of infrastructure management concepts, in any cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP), commonly deployed services, and serverless technologies. Équité uses AWS.
