​IBC is currently looking for a Database Administrator to join our Application Support team. He/she will need to have expert level understanding of SQL Server database system to effectively troubleshoot production job failures, malfunctions, isolate problematic areas, and coordinate resolution with various internal teams.

He/she along with the team, will maintain a highly available, high performance and secure database environment. Also within the role is providing application support for various Microsoft suite of applications like SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.

​Technical Responsibilities

  • Installation, upgrade, patching, configuration, migration of MS SQL Server instances
  • Provide On-Call support outside business hours per a published schedule and for Disaster Recovery (DR) as well as DR tests
  • Maintain and optimize all aspects of production and non-production Database Administration including database operational procedures, performance tuning, analysis, reporting, security to achieve agreed system availability and performance metrics.
  • Work with the team in supporting implementation of projects and IT Operations initiatives
  • Communicate with both business and technical resources in terms that they can understand, and work closely with Project Managers, Developers and Support Analysts to deliver and support the data environment.
  • Provide production support for SQL instances, capacity planning and respond to monitoring alerts
  • Availability to provide after-hours support for high severity issues
  • Define and continuously evaluate KPI’s, process metrics ensuring targets are met, planning action to proactively improve database performance.
  • Execute major database project deliveries to ensure the smooth transition from development to production, and all support requirements are met.
  • Recognizing issues that require escalation and proactively escalate to Management
  • Developing Ad hoc database monitoring/reporting scripts/solutions per management requirement.
  • Provide Production Support for MS SharePoint and MS Dynamics CRM applications – triage and troubleshoot application related issues
  • Provide end-user support for MS CRM and MS SharePoint.
  • Resolving database and application related service request tickets and change requests
  • Deliver and maintain user manuals and training as well as operational documentation
  • Coordinate move to production environment.

​Qualifications

Education, Training & Experience

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum of four to five (7-10) years of Databases Administration experience with MS SQL Server supporting mid-to-large scale environments.
  • Experience in Microsoft application suite like Dynamic CRM and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of tools, techniques, measures and systems for developing and monitoring information systems, including SDLC frameworks
  • Proven experience working with MS-SQL Server, being able to write and modify complex Transact-SQL queries, Stored Procedures and Views
  • Proven experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
