
Director of PolicyInsurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is seeking a high-energy professional and motivated team player, experienced in policy development, who aspires to lead a robust policy team and is interested in a career with Canada’s car, home and business insurers. Based in Toronto and reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Policy and Chief Economist, the Director of Policy will be responsible for providing leadership on issues that bring property and casualty insurers’ perspective to the public policy agenda at the federal and provincial levels. To support the industry’s government relations objectives, the Director will direct research and analysis involving a high level of economic and financial content to formulate policy options and recommendations on topics ranging from auto insurance rate regulation to adaptation to climate change. The Director will also be responsible for providing strategic thinking in the identification of trends and conditions in the environment relevant to the property and casualty insurance industry.
