2009 Be Smart. Be Safe. Tour - Alberta
To follow up on the success of the 2008 D.U.M.B. Struck Tour, Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) brought the Be Smart. Be Safe. Tour to Alberta for the summer of 2009. The tour continued to educate Albertans about preventing injuries in the home, on the road and at play.
The 2009 Be Smart. Be Safe. Tour featured exciting new exhibits and returning favourites, including:
- DUMB Car 2.0 - an upgraded version of the D.U.M.B. Car driving simulator that not only deals with distractions but also demonstrates the dangers of adverse weather and common road hazards
- Hazard House - a model house that demonstrates fire safety hazards that are found in many homes
- Survivor 72 - a game that quizzes players on how well prepared they are to face an emergency
