In Ontario, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) regulates the insurance industry. FSCO has an Office of the Insurance Ombudsman that provides a final resort for the resolution of complaints about the business practices of insurance companies. You need a written statement from your company’s ombudsperson or complaint liaison officer before contacting the Ontario Insurance Ombudsman at FSCO:
