
Barbara Sulzenko-LaurieVice-President, PolicyMs. Sulzenko-Laurie is a highly respected policy analyst who brings to IBC many years of experience and expertise from the public sector. As Vice-President, Policy, she applies her invaluable knowledge of the Ontario auto insurance regime, and of other auto insurance systems in the country, to ensure that IBC’s auto reform proposals are thorough, creative and workable. Ms. Sulzenko-Laurie has been with IBC for eight years. She previously
held the position of Director of Health Issues & Policy, and made
a tremendous contribution to the organization in that role. Ms. Sulzenko-Laurie’s extensive portfolio includes policy work in the fields of energy, pay equity and labour relations reform, as well as legislative initiatives in the areas of workers’ compensation and occupational health and safety. In 1993, she served as a chief negotiator for the Ontario government’s Social Contract, and has worked on health issues since then. Ms. Sulzenko-Laurie holds degrees from McGill University and the University of Toronto. |
