
Gregor M. RobinsonSenior Vice-President, Policy and Chief EconomistMr. Robinson brings over 37 years of experience in economics and policy development both within and outside of government. As Senior Vice-President, Policy and Chief Economist for Insurance Bureau of Canada, he spearheads strategic research and economic analysis to address public policy matters affecting consumers and the industry. Before joining IBC, Mr. Robinson was Vice-President, Policy & Economics Analysis for the Ontario Energy Association. He has worked in various economist and policy positions for Ontario’s Ministries of Finance, Energy, and Natural Resources. He has also worked in private industry as President of Plain Language & Design (PLD Consultants - Plain Language Economics) Inc. where he focused on evaluating the economic benefits of government programs. Mr. Robinson is a past President of World Literacy Canada and sat on the board of directors for St. Stephen’s Community House. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Toronto as well as a Masters degree from the London School of Economics. In addition to his vast professional experience and education, Mr. Robinson is also an accomplished author. His fictional and non-fictional works have been published in several journals and magazines in Canada and the US. As well, he has written three books and his most current novel, Providence Island, was released in March 2011. |
