
Ralph PalumboVice-President, OntarioRalph Palumbo has more than fourteen years’ experience in government relations and public affairs. In November 2009, he joined Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) as Vice-President, Ontario. In this role, he directs government relations activities for the property and casualty insurance industry in the Ontario region and oversees the daily operations of IBC’s Ontario office in Toronto. Prior to joining IBC, Mr. Palumbo held a number of senior government relations positions, including partner with the government relations and public affairs firm Pathway Group Inc. He has also worked as a Director of Government Relations and Legislative Affairs with the Certified General Accountants of Ontario. Prior to holding these positions, he acted as an adjudicator in disputes arising under the Employment Standards Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. He was appointed as Vice Chair, and ultimately, Chair, of the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal where he adjudicated cases arising out of the Pay Equity Act for a period of seven years. Mr. Palumbo graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Windsor Law School, and completed his Bar Admission Course at Osgoode Hall in Toronto. Mr. Palumbo has taken part in the Youth Justice Program, Toronto Division, has worked with the Big Brothers of Hamilton, and as a volunteer and negotiator for new premises for the Lansing Co-operative Nursery School. |
