Hurricane Update: Leslie

As of Monday, September 10, 2012, tropical storm Leslie has spun into a Category One Hurricane and is expected to hit Newfoundland with heavy rains and high winds. Newfoundland's Avalon, Burin and Bonavista peninsulas have been put on a hurricane watch until further notice.

As Hurricane Leslie gathers strength and pushes toward Newfoundland and Labrador, Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) encourages residents to stay safe and stay tuned here for further frequent updates.
