Starting over in Slave Lake, Alberta

Wildfire may have swept away homes and property but it hasn’t destroyed the spirit of Slave Lake and its citizens.

The desire to rebuild is strong. We saw this when Insurance Bureau of Canada’s Consumer Assistance Mobile Pavilion (CAMP) was deployed to assist residents with their insurance-related questions once the smoke began to clear.

Insurance companies have been on the ground, responding to the needs of customers, delivering cheques, and doing whatever they can to help residents get back on their feet. And that work will continue until the job is done.

If, for any reason, you have been unable to connect with your insurance representative or have insurance-related questions or concerns, please call IBC’s Consumer Information Centre at 1-800-377-6378. We can help.
