IBC Advantage
A unified voice advocating for better insurance for all.
Proactive leadership for the P&C industry
We are the national industry association representing the vast majority of Canada’s home, car and business insurance companies. On behalf of our member companies, we advocate for property and casualty (P&C) insurance that is available and affordable to all Canadians.
As the leading voice of the Canadian property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry and their customers, we proactively work to shape decisions on policy reforms and regulations and provide consumer education.
One Industry, One Voice
Our member-led approach ensures members are at the heart of everything IBC does. Our organization is guided by a best-in-class committee structure that ensures all members can have a seat at the table to discuss and manage issues affecting the P&C insurance industry.
Member companies can subscribe to valuable services that provide exclusive information and benefits.
Through your membership, we can:
Help shape industry positions on issues of critical importance to your organization.
Stay abreast of industry trends and collaborate with your peers on industry positions.
Advocate for a sustainable and strong P&C insurance industry.
IBC members help set IBC’s strategic direction and policy initiatives. The participation of members in committees and advisory groups helps strengthen and refine the communication between insurance companies and the public, governments, news media and other industry associations.
Membership in IBC is available to federally and provincially licensed P&C insurers and reinsurers in Canada. Non-insurers that meet certain eligibility requirements can subscribe to other services.
