CAMP is staffed with trained insurance industry personnel and is set up at emergency shelters and community centres where disaster victims are gathered. In cases where a physical deployment isn’t possible, IBC representatives work with local officials and insurers to disseminate information.
After a Disaster, IBC Experts Can Help
In addition to CAMP, insurance professionals staff IBC’s Consumer Information Centre at 1-844-2ASK-IBC (1-844-227-5422) to help address questions after a disaster.
These information officers can respond to specific questions that may not be covered on the IBC website. If an information officer does not have the answer to your question, he or she will direct you to someone who does.
