DASH (Driver and Auto Search History)

Driver and Auto Search History (DASH) is a policy and claims information system designed with industry input to retrieve driver and auto data for the Canadian insurance industry. It provides detailed reports on a consumer’s auto insurance history including policies, claims, and other relevant information used to provide an insurance quote.

Enrolling with DASH gives insurers and brokers access to digital-ready reports that provide you with detailed information to assess risk and determine competitive auto insurance premiums.

How DASH works

Driver reports are accessible in two ways: through the DASH web portal or through an Application Programming Interface (API) that integrates with your underwriting systems.

DASH users will have access to:

• An individual driver’s policy and claims history

• A vehicle’s policy history and relevant claims history

Who can use DASH

DASH is available to private auto insurers and brokers licensed to sell insurance in:

• Alberta

• Ontario

• New Brunswick

• Nova Scotia

• Prince Edward Island

• Newfoundland and Labrador

• Nunavut

• Northwest Territories

• Yukon
