SCAM ALERT: Fraudulent ‘Certificate of Insurance’ Documents Circulating with IBC Letterhead

IBC has been made aware of a scam involving fake ‘certificates of insurance’ being distributed to unsuspecting individuals with a request for payment. The documents utilize IBC letterhead in an attempt to appear legitimate.

This email scam falsely claims to be from 'Easy Finance' and requests payment for a loan.

Please be aware that IBC does not issue certificates of insurance, request payments, or store, collect, or provide personal information related to such matters.

If you have received an email request like this, please do not provide any information or payment. Block the sender.

In his 30 years in the insurance industry, Rob de Pruis has held various senior leadership positions in claims and risk management at some of Canada’s leading insurance companies.
