Nav Dhillon joined Aviva Canada in December 2022 as Chief Financial Officer, where he led corporate strategy, investor relations, financial reporting, treasury and performance management. Mr. Dhillon also served as the interim Chief Claims Officer from August 2024 to June 2025. Before joining Aviva, Mr. Dhillon held senior leadership positions at RSA Canada Group and Intact Financial Corporation and played a key role in building EY’s insurance advisory practice. In 2025, Mr. Dhillon was named one of Report on Business’ Best Executives – an annual award that recognizes exceptional leaders across Canadian businesses for their impact, vision and leadership excellence.
Paul Jackson is a versatile insurance executive with over 25 years of international experience in building and leading high-performance businesses across Canada, the U.K. and Asia Pacific. As Chief Executive Officer of Zurich Canada, Mr. Jackson brings a strategic vision shaped by a career spanning senior leadership roles in underwriting, claims, pricing, distribution and marketing. Prior to joining Zurich, Mr. Jackson served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a leading Canadian insurer, where he spearheaded a comprehensive enterprise transformation, positioning the company for long-term strategic growth. Mr. Jackson has been at the forefront of enterprise strategy development and operating model transformation, with broad P&L experience in both dividend and growth businesses.
Paul MacDonald has been Executive Vice-President, Personal Insurance, at Definity since January 2018, and expanded his leadership portfolio in September 2022 to include Sonnet and Definity’s digital-first user experience. Mr. MacDonald has over 25 years of insurance experience. He was previously SVP & and Chief Claims Officer for Royal Alliance Insurance Company of Canada, VP Canadian Operations of SGI Canada (a Canadian P&C insurance company), VP Insurance Consulting at PwC, and SVP & National Director at Aon Risk Services. He is an Executive Sponsor of Definity’s IDEA Advisory Committee and is also on the Sustainability Steering Committee. He is director on the board of Équité Association. Paul holds his Chartered Director designation, a BA(Hons) from Queen’s University, an LL.B. from Dalhousie University, an MBA from York University and Northwestern University, and a Canadian Risk Management designation.
Catherine Roe is the President and Chief Agent of CNA Canada, where she oversees all aspects of CNA’s Canadian operations, working closely with the global and local executive teams to establish the strategic vision, drive profitable growth, strengthen market position and deliver on the company’s commitment to clients and brokers. With more than 30 years of experience in insurance and risk management, Ms. Roe brings to the IBC Board a deep understanding of the Canadian market and a proven track record of operational excellence and client-focused innovation in a highly competitive landscape.
